Special Meeting of Planning Board

MINUTES -Minutes were approved for the Regular Meeting on December 1, 2004.

Bill for Clerical presented - $679.20 leaving $4079.80 in account. The bill was approved.

ANR- Russ Morton, 12 Genevieve Drive, came before the Board to present an ANR for lots on South Ridge Road. Morton would like to change the lot lines for lots 6D-6, 6D-4 and 2C-1. Morton explained by moving the lines it would be easier to sell the property as it would make at least one lot just a little smaller. John Flynn asked to look at previous plans to follow what numbers where being given to what lot. After some discussion it was apparent that some of the numbers being given to lots were at one time given to another piece of property on this subdivision. The Board suggested Morton bring the plans back to Sherman and Woods, 3 Converse Street, Palmer. Flynn suggested the lot numbers should now be 5, 6 and 7. There is also a transcription error with lot D-1 it reads 6D-1 this must also be corrected. The Board asked Morton to return on January 4, 2005 with the corrected plan.

Morton told the Board he had a preliminary drawing for a PURD. Flynn asked Morton if he would mind bringing it back on January 4th as the Board was running late for a presentation upstairs. Morton said no problem and added Gary Weiner, Ecotec Environmental, 180 Denslow Road, East Longmeadow, was working on the wording for the PURD to be presented at Town Meeting.

Kelly Lane – Victoria Janeczek, 63 Kelly Lane, came before the Board with questions. Janeczek was confused on the building process in Hampden. She was given a notice as an abutter to a property that is being looked at by the Conservation Commission. Janeczek was wondering what the bylaws are for building in Hampden. Joseph Kruzel explained the Bylaws are on the website at Janeczek was concerned about where the property line is and the wetlands. The Board assured her the Conservation Commission will have the property owner have their wetlands flagged and find the pins. Janeczek thanked the Board.

The Board moved the meeting upstairs for a presentation from Jed Mannis, the executive director of the nonprofit Shelter Island Fund and Robert Levite, an attorney and educator for the UMASS Extension.

The Board moved back downstairs at 9:05

Ridgeline and Hillside - Flynn explained to the Board an Open Meeting Complaint had been filed against Ridgeline and Hillside. Flynn also asked to the Board to think about the members of the Ridgeline and Hillside Committee. This topic will be discussed at a later date.
