Minutes of February 25, 2004 were reviewed and approved
(1.) Chip Gregory- Chip Gregory introduced himself as a realtor. He came before the Board looking for advice on 64 acres of property on Chapin Road; he is handling for a client. He wasn’t sure where to start the process. The Board advised him to hire an environmental expert to help him with his question on wetlands and topography with regards to this piece of land and to where to go from there.
(2.) Lee Ann (Potter) Kibbe- Lee Ann (Potter) Kibbe came before the Board looking for approval for a Home Occupation. She would fax menus from local restaurants. The Board reviewed the Bylaws for Home Occupation and she met all criteria. They found no issues with this. The Board voted and unanimously approved the request.
(3.) Source Water Assessments- The Board received reports on Mt. View Drive-In, Annie’s Place, Senior Center, and Dairy Mart about the water assessments. After some discussion, Joe Kruzel will review the reports and get back to the Board on the findings.
(4.) Scantic Meadows- There is no update on Scantic Meadows.
(5.) Shadow Wood- There is no update on Shadow Wood pending Conservation Commission review. The developer will need to request an extension for six months.
(6.) Public Hearings- The Board approved holding a Public Hearing on April 14, 2004 for Glennice Flynn for a Home Occupation in Accessory Building, and Alston Gregory for Substandard Frontage Lot.
(7.) Ridgeline and Hillside- There is no update on Ridgeline and Hillside. The Board met last night and did not have a quorum.
(8.) Sidewalk Committee- The Selectman have asked the Planning Board to handle this committee. The Seniors would like to be involved in some capacity. Doreen Rauch, Administrative Assistant to the Director at the Senior Center is a new member to the Committee. The first order of business is how to get the money into an account for the Sidewalk Committee. A five member committee would work. The Board would also like permission to advertise for members.
